- Crush garlic and sun dry for 2 days.
- Dry roast urad dhal and after it turns golden brown add the garlic and saute. Remove and set aside in a plate.
- Add chanadhal in the same pan and dry roast till golden brown. Transfer to the plate. Similarly roast sesame seeds also till starts to cracks.
- Add oil to the pan and fry the red chillies till they puff. Transfer to the plate and allow all ingredients to cool.
- Take all ingredients in a blender, add asofetida and salt. Grind to fine or little coarse powder depending on your preference.
- Store in an airtight container. Serve with idli or dosai.
