- Cook the rice as directed on the box, add some pepper and salt to taste.
- Add the butter and onions, and cook onions until translucent and a little golden. Once you have done this add the flour and create a roux by mixing the flour into the butter and onions. Add the chicken broth once you've mixed the flour and butter. Let this come to a boil for 1 minute
- Once the broth has boiled for 1 minute add the chicken that has been cut, rice, carrots, pecans, and some pepper and salt to taste.
- Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes, then add the half and half. Let it heat back up and enjoy. Goes well with French bread.
